Michael Plyler- Founder
Michael Plyler’s career in the mulch and forestry industry began at an early age, developing a lifelong passion for the work that continues today. At just 12 years old, Michael began learning the industry alongside his father, Mickey Plyler, owner of P & L Bark, where he gained hands-on experience in the sawmill and wood products business.
By the age of 18, Michael expanded his experience by joining his father’s pine shaving operation, hauling shavings to farms and learning the importance of quality, efficiency, and customer service. These early experiences built the foundation for his extensive knowledge of forestry, wood products, and material processing.
Today, Michael brings decades of experience, dedication, and industry expertise to Carolina Landscape Supplies, Inc. His passion for the forestry industry, commitment to quality, and hands-on approach have been instrumental in growing the company and serving customers throughout the Carolinas.
Kristen Plyler- Owner
Kristen Plyler became part of the forestry and landscape industry through her marriage to Michael Plyler, and over the years, Michael’s passion for the business inspired her own dedication to the industry. Together, they began building their future by going door-to-door selling pine needles, creating customer relationships and learning the importance of hard work, service, and commitment to their customers.
In 1999, their vision and dedication led to the formation of Carolina Landscape Supplies, Inc. What started as a small, relationship-driven business grew into a successful company built on quality products, dependable service, and strong customer connections. During this same time, Kristen and Michael welcomed their first daughter, Alannah, marking the beginning of both their growing family and their growing business.
Known as the face of the company, Kristen has a natural ability to connect with customers and create lasting relationships built on trust, reliability, and genuine care. Her dedication to customer satisfaction and her commitment to serving others have played an important role in the continued success and reputation of Carolina Landscape Supplies, Inc.
